Substation Foremen Construction Crews Needed
Texas | Greenfield Substation Construction Projects
Utility Power is seeking experienced 5-Man Substation Construction Crews for long-term power utility projects throughout Texas.
We are looking for complete crews consisting of:
- 1 Substation Foreman - $47 - $48/hr.
- 2 Journeyman Substation Linemen $42 - $45/hr.
- 2 Substation Apprentices - Pay based on exp.
Job Duties
Crews will perform all phases of new greenfield substation construction, including:
- Ground grid installation
- Structural steel erection
- Setting switches and major substation equipment
- Installing conduit systems
- Pulling and terminating control and power cable
- Bus work installation
- Equipment assembly and installation
- Reading construction drawings and specifications
- Working safely around energized utility facilities
Qualifications
Foreman
- Prior experience leading substation construction crews
- Ability to read prints and coordinate daily activities
- Strong safety record
Journeyman Substation Linemen
- Experience with substation construction and equipment installation
- Knowledge of grounding, conduit, wiring, and steel erection
- CDL LICENSE REQUIRED
Substation Apprentices
- Utility construction experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
